About
AgentCard issues virtual Visa cards to AI agents, letting them make real online purchases with configurable spending limits and real-time transaction tracking. Setup takes seconds via CLI: npm install -g agentcard, sign up, create a card with a defined amount, and hand the card details to any agent. Works with any AI agent that can make purchases — no bank meetings, no paperwork, no per-vendor signup. Currently in private beta; on-chain payments are on the roadmap.
Developers who want agents to make real purchases — API credits, SaaS renewals, supply reordering — with per-agent budget isolation and no integration complexity beyond a CLI and a card number.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- check Virtual Visa cards work anywhere Visa is accepted online — broad compatibility with real commerce sites
- check Per-card spending limits let you isolate budgets across multiple agents (e.g., ad spend agent can't touch API billing card)
- check CLI-based setup takes ~2 minutes from signup to a working card
- check No subscriptions — buy a card, top it up as needed, no hidden fees
- check Private beta with real-world testimonials showing actual agent-driven purchases (API credits, office supplies, subscriptions)
Cons
- close Private beta — not publicly available yet; requires waitlist access
- close Traditional Visa card model means real KYC/compliance requirements at some point, even if hidden during beta
- close Spending limit control is based on initial card funding — no dynamic policy enforcement or human approval routing
- close On-chain/DeFi features are roadmap, not current — crypto users should look elsewhere for now
- close No audit trail or approval workflow described beyond real-time spend tracking
